AFG Vs NZ T20 World Cup 2024: We are in the end game of the T20 World Cup now and the final four teams are ready to clash it out. The first semi-final match is a story of two fairy tails going on in the tournament.
On one side we have South Africa, who have been undefeated so far but have clinched all their victories from the jaws of defeat. On the other hand, it is Afghanistan who has shocked everyone and reached their first ICC semi-finals at the expense of the Australian team.
Match | AFG(Afghanistan) Vs SA(South Africa) T20 World Cup 2024 |
---|---|
Timings | 6:00 AM IST, Monday – June 26th |
Venue | Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Tarouba |
Where to Watch | Disney+ Hotstar |
The pitch at Tarouba is a spin-friendly pitch which might favor Afghanistan more considering their bowling options. Rashid Khan, Noor Ahmed, and Mohammad Nabi will be in the limelight.
Considering the pitch, Keshav Maharaj and Tabraiz Shamsi will also have a huge impact on the game. Afghanistan will once again like to bat first as they thrive in that situation.
None of these teams would like to make any changes to their playing XI. South Africa might not take the risk of replacing Hendricks with rookie Ryan Rickelton directly in the semi-finals.
On the other hand, Afghanistan has a huge issue in the form of Rahmanullah Gurbaz who suffered a knee injury against Bangladesh. If the opener is not fit, the Afghans might have to make major changes to their batting lineup to get that extra batting and keeper spot.
South Africa Possible XI: Quinton de Kock (wk), Reeza Hendricks, Aiden Markram (C), David Miller, Heinrich Klaasen, Tristan Stubbs, Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Tabraiz Shamsi
